You will be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, equipment, and fixtures per ESA and code standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues using appropriate tools and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Lead and mentor apprentices on job sites
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and job records
- Communicate professionally with clients and inspectors
- Participate in on-call work as required
- Work includes both indoor and outdoor environments
- May involve tight spaces, heights up to 60 feet, and frequent lifting (50 lbs)
- Use of ladders, power tools, and testing equipment required
- Travel between job sites in company vehicle
- Valid WHMIS, Elevated Work Platform, Health & Safety Awareness training, Working at Heights, First Aid certificates
- Valid Red Seal or BC Journeyperson Electrician certification
- Minimum 2 years of post-certification experience (high-end residential or commercial TI preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and best practices
- Proficient with industry-standard tools and techniques
- Basic computer skills an asset
- Must have a valid BC driver license and reliable transport to get yourself to/from the Prince George Vanderhoof area at the beginning of each rotation.
