Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including ductwork, structural components, and assembly tasks within a dynamic production environment. Candidates should be committed to safety, quality, and efficiency in all aspects of their work. Work is local, no LOA provided.
- Perform SMAW welding on various materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Execute rigging tasks and assist with crane operations for material handling and assembly
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices in welding and manufacturing
- Knowledge of Pipe Fabrication
- Red Seal Journeyman Certificate
- Valid Alberta B-Pressure Certificate
- Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract.
- Must be able to pass drug test
- Valid First Aid, H2S, CSO, Fall Protection & Confined Space would be considered an asset.
- Proven experience in SMAW welding and blueprint reading
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions
- Familiarity with rigging procedures, machining processes, and ductwork fabrication is preferred
- Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of construction standards and manufacturing safety protocols
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Able to provide references upon request.
