Bad Monkey Electric is a growing electrical contracting company that handles residential and commercial projects across Maryland. We're looking for licensed journeymen or highly skilled electricians who know how to troubleshoot, take initiative, and roll with the chaos. What You’ll Do

•

Perform residential and light commercial electrical installations, service calls, and maintenance

•

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with wiring, panels, generators, lighting, etc.

•

Lead helpers/apprentices on job sites and ensure safe and code-compliant work

•

Communicate with the office team regarding job progress, materials needed, and customer concerns

•

Document daily job activity using our digital reporting system

•

Occasionally coordinate with inspectors or utility companies

What We’re Looking For

•

Valid Maryland Journeyman Electrician License (bonus if you’re also licensed in PA or VA)

•

At least 3+ years of hands-on electrical experience

•

Strong working knowledge of NEC codes, tools, and safety protocols

•

Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and interpret scopes of work

•

Solid time management — shows up on time, communicates delays

•

Tech-savvy enough to submit digital reports (or willing to learn fast)

•

Comfortable mentoring helpers and taking initiative on jobs

Bonus Points If You...

•

Have generator installation or service experience (Generac, Kohler, Cummins, etc.)

•

Have EV charger installation experience (Tesla or ChargePoint)

•

Are good with customers and don’t mind explaining what you’re doing

•

Thrive in a fast-paced, non-corporate environment where flexibility matters

•

Can think for yourself, get it done, and aren’t afraid to ask questions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
