Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our power systems team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in generator installation electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing generator electrical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, the ability to work on construction sites, and familiarity with both high and low voltage systems. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical installations.

Responsibilities

•

Install, maintain, and repair electrical components of a generator. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to determine wiring layouts.

•

Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively on construction sites.

•

Conduct tests using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems.

•

Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions promptly.

•

Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.

•

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.

•

Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

•

Abide by NEC code-compliance and state/city permitting standards.

Experience

•

Proven experience as an electrician with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

•

Proficiency in using various tools including voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools.

•

Familiarity with low voltage systems and controllers is highly desirable.

•

Ability to read and understand technical documents, including schematics and wiring diagrams.

•

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.

•

Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
