Maintenance Supervisor
Based at FTTP, works in all District facilities
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
(some flexibility with hours)
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within the District. This includes performing preventive maintenance, monitoring contractors during high voltage testing, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of electrical components. Additionally, this position contributes to regulatory compliance and efficient operations of the District.

Electrical Maintenance & Repair:
•Perform maintenance and repair on electrical systems, including troubleshooting outlets, breakers, HVAC units, and lighting.
•Install, repair, and replace lighting systems, wiring, and related components.
•Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and document completed work.
•Maintain and repair Duke Energy pole lights as necessary.
•Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Contractor & High-Voltage System Management:
•Monitor and coordinate with contractors during annual high-voltage maintenance and testing.
•Oversee maintenance and repair of high-voltage electrical system controls and related equipment.
Equipment Operation & Procurement:
•Operate and maintain electrical diagnostic equipment, power tools, and computers for system monitoring.
•Procure electrical components and materials as necessary within spending authority.
Emergency Response & Documentation:
•Respond to after-hours electrical emergencies as needed.
•Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
Education and Experience:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Trade or technical school certification in electrical systems is preferred.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair of systems 208V and higher.
•Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Licensing/Certifications:
•Kentucky State Journeyman Electrical License required
Additional Skills:
•Knowledge of electrical codes, NFPA, and OSHA standards.
•Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose electrical issues efficiently.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
•Experience using electrical testing instruments and power tools.
•Strong communication and teamwork skills.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
•Ability to utilize a computerized work order management system.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job requires climbing heights above and below 50ft, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, reaching, standing, sitting, lifting, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Heavy Work: exerting up to 50 pounds. Environmental conditions: subject to extreme heat, cold, humidity, wetness, noise, and vibration. Hazardous conditions: moving parts & equipment/tools, hazardous chemicals, high voltage electricity and working alone.
