Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Location: Dayton Metropolitan area Experience Level: Minimum 5+ Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
•
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
•
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
•
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues with minimal supervision.
•
Ensure work complies with all relevant codes and regulations.
•
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
•
Adhere to company safety protocols and OSHA standards.
•
Coordinate with other trades and contractors as needed.
•
Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional conduct on job sites.
Qualifications:
•
Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed electrician.
•
Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
•
Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local electrical codes.
•
Familiarity with electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
•
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
•
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
•
Experience in both residential and commercial electrical work.
•
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•
Ability to train or mentor apprentices a plus.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
