The purpose of the IT Infrastructure and Operations Analyst is to maintain the agreed service levels for IT requests, deliver high value support to customers according to agreed process, monitor and report on local IT inventory, incident trends, formalize documentation, supporting the local business with a strong focus on on-site support facilitating uninterrupted manufacturing/production. Some IT purchasing for accessories may be required – training will be provided
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining PCs, peripherals (local and network printers, scanners), and other end user equipment, including mobility devices
- Responding to telephone calls, email, service tickets, and dispatched requests for technical support
- Resolving level 1 incidents related to production and assisting with the implementation of a range of procedures to ensure compliance and that results/outputs are accurately recorded and recognized
- Proposes appropriated actions for improving the delivery of services from a quality and cost perspective
- Using best practices to solve issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges
- Acting as smart hands for Server, Storage, Backup Networking equipment and all IT end points
- Supporting and maintaining hardware and software related to building security, workshop and facilities
- Consulting and instructing users on hardware and software questions/issues
- Proactively ensure high value customer service by providing customers with specific delivery times for IT solutions and clear communications, limiting the use of technology terms when not needed, also suggesting alternative low-cost and high-value solutions where available within Guidant Measurement catalogue.
- Responsible to monitor and report on local IT inventory, identify and report incident trends to manager
- Proactively seeks to improve customer support and related processes by suggesting enhancements to functionality, new processes, adjustments to existing processes and improvement in usage of existing tools within the computing environment.
- Ensuring that local IT management are informed of any high impact issues ASAP
- Participating in an on-call service as per business
- IMAC Support - IT equipment Install/Move/Add/Change of IT equipment
- Maintain system configurations and operational documentation
- Inventory management of IT assets including assistance with asset auditing
- Ability to research and follow appropriate KB articles
- Providing priority Executive support
- Performing all other necessary tasks related to IT support of the local and globally supported locationYour Areas of Knowledge and Expertise that matter most for this role:
- 3+ year’s experience in a corporate IT deskside support environment, supporting computers, mobile phones, and printers - 3+ year’s experience related to basic (smart hands) IT Infrastructure and server support - 3+ year’s experience supporting a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work independently and manage assigned work tasks
- Must have excellent personal interaction skills with attention to detail
- Skilled in documenting written troubleshooting steps and instructions
- Assistance in process creation by bringing practical and relevant work experiences to the table for discussion
- Ability to identify deviations from standards
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail are required
- Experience supporting Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Smart Phones, AV Conferencing Systems, Printers and PC hardware
- Experience supporting remote facilities and users
- High level of professionalism and strong personal interaction skills
- Ability to perform in-depth research and troubleshooting for complex technical issues
- Ability to prioritize and complete all work tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
