Irrigation Technician

skilled work in the maintenance and repair of complex irrigation systems.

Duties and responsibilities:?

•

Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation related problems

•

Maintain and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems

•

Maintain job records, complete work orders, and customer billing

•

Start up and winterize irrigation systems

•

Operate and maintain company vehicles and service vans

Requirements:?

•

Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license with a clean

driving record

•

Must have knowledge of:

•

Install/ repair pipe including PVC, copper, and poly

•

Basic head repair and adjust

•

Valve operation and repair

•

Copper soldering

•

Basic controller programing and operation

•

Electrical troubleshooting including multimeter, toner, locator, and

clump meter

•

Sensor operation and installation

•

Back flow including codes, operation, and repair

•

Basic hydraulic principles (flow and pressure)

•

Maintains positive client relations and answers on-site client questions

•

Demonstrates dependability and efficient work practices

•

Must have a professional appearance

•

Keeps current with emerging industry trends through continued education

(CE) requirements?

•

Ability to speak, read, and write English.? Bilingual in

Spanish, highly desirable

•

Willingness to help and support other departments when necessary

•

Must be willing to do snow removal and Christmas d cor during the winter

season

Physical Demands & Work Environment

•

Working outside in all temperatures and weather conditions

•

Requires bending, stooping, reaching, walking and lifting especially

when maintaining in-ground irrigation systems

•

Comfort with and have physical and manual dexterity to operate heavy

equipment and use of digging tools (backhoes, dump trucks, front end

loaders, small and large trenchers, shovels, augers)

•

Exposure to dust, grease, noise and chemical vapors - PPE is provided

•

Ability to move and/or lift 50 lbs. and ask for help for heavier items
