Responsibilities
•Inspect and repair irrigation systems, addressing leaks and other damages.
•Maintain and repair sprinkler systems, drip lines, spray heads, pressure regulators, and other irrigation components.
•Calculate water requirements based on weather conditions, plant material, and soil type.
•Maintain drip irrigation systems and specialized equipment such as emitters and timers.
•Design or modify irrigation systems for specific applications like greenhouses and nurseries.
•Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and replacing pumps, filters, valves, hoses, and nozzles.
•Complete other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•Basic understanding of irrigation systems and ability to read and interpret irrigation plans.
•Knowledge of irrigation system components such as valves, pumps, and sprinkler heads.
•Ability to identify and repair common irrigation system issues.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work efficiently and follow directions.
•Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
•Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
•Ability to work with hand tools and irrigation equipment.
•Must be able to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 40 pounds.
•Must be 18 years of age or older.
