Key Areas of Responsibility
•Assist with daily operation and Maintenance of RNG plant
•Comply with all workplaces, federal, state and OSHA safety guidelines and obligations.
•Perform regular inspections and maintenance of fixed plant equipment
•Administrative duties including documenting and reporting equipment maintenance, operation and condition.
•Assist with performing fault-finding, repairs and reporting of electrical and mechanical systems.
•Assist with the operation of advanced instrumentation and process control systems.
•Carry out routine housekeeping duties.
•Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
•Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company’s employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors
•In addition to the duties set out above, the RNG Plant Intern may be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company
Person Specification
•Effective communication skills both verbal and written
•Ability to read, write, hear and communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.
•Must be able to see adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.
•The work is physical in nature. Ability to stand, sit, bend, squat, crawl, climb, stoop, walk for extended periods.
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
•Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability
Qualifications and Experience
•Prior internship or co-op is a plus.
•Maintenance, mechanical or electrical experience and/or suitable background.
•Basic Computer operation including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
•Ability to collect and interpret data and write clear, accurate reports and specifications.
•Analytical and trouble shooting skills in either mechanical and electrical systems is a plus.
•Required to wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, appropriate clothing, ear plugs, gas monitoring, etc.), as needed. All PPE will be provided.
•A valid driver’s license is required to support potential travel to project sites.
•Ability to work autonomously in a multi-skilled work environment.
•Proficient in using computers, instrumentation, metering and/or monitoring equipment to measure, record and make adjustments within operating parameters.
•Familiarity with PLC’s, ladder Logic as well as troubleshooting and programming of these systems are a plus.
