Job Summary

The selected Engineering Intern will be part of the Engineering Design team and assist with the development of required design changes to upgrade systems to the Surry Power Station in Surry, Virginia. The Engineering Design team is responsible for the development of large projects to support extending the operating life of the Surry Power Station for safe, cost effective nuclear power operations.

A supervisor or engineer mentor will provide the intern with structured assignments designed to develop fundamental engineering knowledge, awareness of industry techniques and practices, and familiarity with power systems equipment and the nuclear power plant.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

- Required to be working towards a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

- Strong communication skills.

- Strong Presentation skills.

Education Requirements

- Must be working towards a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited university

- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

- Must have a graduation date of Fall 2027 or later
