Airbuild is reimagining how cities handle water, waste, and carbon. We design self-powered infrastructure that treat wastewater, sequester carbon, and convert waste into valuable biochar.
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to help us prototype, test, and optimize the core systems inside our infrastructure. You’ll work directly with our engineering team on real-world problems involving energy systems, sensor integration, and sustainable design.
- Support the design of off grid solar-powered systems with solar panels, battery, inverter and electrical loads (Pumps, Motors, UVCÂ reactor, Harvester, Pyrolysis machine).
- Support integration of off grid solar systems with layout design, wiring, mounting, and electrical protective selection.
- Help integrate sensors, microcontrollers, and power management circuits
- Assist with wiring diagrams, PCB design, and component selection
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and iteration of live prototypes
- Collaborate with mechanical and IoT engineers on cross-functional projects
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or similar)
- Knowledge of off grid solar system design and its components (solar panel, battery, inverter, electrical loads)
- Experience in using solar system softwares i.e. PVsyst, PVWatts, or others
- Experience in using Simulink models , 2D and 3D drawing in AutoCAD/Solid works.
- Some knowledge about NEC code and IBC code applicable for off grid solar systems.
- Familiar with circuit simulation and layout tools, PSpice/LTSpice, Mentor graphics.
- Self-starter mindset and willingness to learn fast.
- Experience with IoT systems
- Knowledge of water treatment, environmental monitoring, or energy harvesting
