Interconnection Specialist

Description

The Interconnection Specialist is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and completion of all projects and related work. The Interconnection Specialist will complete all daily activities & amp; duties related to moving projects forward and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepares, reviews, and submits interconnection applications

- Works daily on backlog and throughput to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded

- Constantly communicates areas of improvement to management

- Demonstrates a deep understanding of solar and interconnection with attention to detail

- Able to submit more complicated submissions; would be able to adapt to newer regions

- with ambiguous requirements

- Provide exceptional customer service in a demanding environment while maintaining a

- high level of accurate record keeping

- Assists on special projects which might include escalations, utility conversations, ticket

- assignment

- Conducts customer outreach for various requirements

- Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certifications:

- High School Graduate or GED

Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in customer service, coordination, or project management

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the solar industry

- Some experience working directly with utilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Solution oriented

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations

- Confidence, drive, enthusiasm, and a sense of responsibility

Special Skills & Training:

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to see the big picture, anticipate problems and how they will affect the project team, and proactively address these issues

- Ability to deal well with ambiguous tasks

- Ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines

- Attention to detail to ensure all specifications are met
