IAMGOLD is hiring a Communications Specialist (12-month contract) to help shape our internal communications strategy. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by crafting compelling narratives, optimizing digital tools, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and strengthen our organizational culture. You’ll write and edit communications across multiple channels, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences with the right tone and style. Your work will help foster connection, clarity, and alignment across the organization.

In this role, you’ll support the digital transformation of our communications function by identifying opportunities for process optimization, leveraging platforms and tools, and introducing new ideas and best practices. You’ll use analytics and insights to measure effectiveness, track engagement, and continuously improve the impact of messaging and initiatives. As a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, you’ll provide thoughtful counsel that reflects IAMGOLD’s values and priorities, helping to ensure our communications are inclusive, transparent, and forward-looking.

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed

We’re looking for someone with a post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, and eight plus years of experience in employee/internal communications. You’re a strong storyteller with digital fluency, data-informed thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence. Experience with ESG communications, but what matters most is your commitment to inclusive, effective communication that builds trust and drives engagement.
