Residential Weatherization and Insulation Crew Leader

Energy Efficiency Experts is currently seeking an experienced crew leader to join our team. This position is a major contributor to the continued success of our company. We will provide the training for you to prepare and manage insulation and air-sealing jobs in DC-Maryland Metro area homes. Sustainability is one of the fastest-growing industries in the US and this position will train you in the fundamental elements of residential energy efficiency.
Specifics:
•During the training period, the qualified candidate will be supporting an existing crew member to perform energy-saving strategies such as attic and house air-sealing and installing insulation.
•After the training period, the candidate will be leading the crew in implementing the energy-saving strategies determined by the auditing team.
•The crew leader will collaborate with the auditing team to ensure that the recommendations made are properly implemented.
•The qualified candidate may be assisting in any electrical work such as installing/replacing bathroom fans and attic fans.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
•Prior experience to lead a crew of 4+ people
•Ability to continually learn new things
•Great leadership skills to delegate, monitor crew member hours, and build team morale
•Honest, trustworthy and reliable
•Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, smartphone
•Ability and willingness to work in small spaces, such as attics and crawlspaces
•Able to work overtime when needed (rate = 1.5x)
•Competent in customer relations
•Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs
•Ability to use a mobile device for on-site documentation
•Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts
•Self-motivated person, capable of both team and independent work
•Willingness to follow procedures and pay attention to details
•Project Management/Project Coordinator
