Job Summary:

MEP Builders LLC is seeking an experienced Installation Technician to join our team. This position involves the installation of a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in residential and light commercial buildings. If you're skilled in installing appliances, basic plumbing, and electrical components, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Appliance Installations: Install and set up dishwashers, refrigerators, garbage disposals, washing machines, and other household appliances, ensuring they function properly and are connected to the correct systems (plumbing, electrical).

•

Plumbing Installations: Install plumbing fixtures such as sinks, faucets, toilets, showers, and water heaters. Handle basic pipe installations, connecting and testing water lines for leaks and proper flow.

•

Electrical Installations: Mount and wire electrical systems, including light fixtures, outlets, switches, and small appliances. Ensure all wiring is correctly connected and meets safety codes.

•

Basic System Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues during the installation process, ensuring systems operate correctly once installed.

•

Job Site Prep: Gather all necessary materials, tools, and equipment for each installation job and ensure the worksite is organized and safe.

•

Coordination: Collaborate with managers, ensuring all installations are completed on time and meet client specifications. Communicate with clients about the timeline and expectations for the work being done.

•

Quality Control: Test installations to ensure everything is working properly before the job is considered complete. Perform final checks on installations for safety and functionality.

•

Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized work environment. Ensure tools and materials are properly stored and that the site is cleared of debris after each job.

Qualifications:

•

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing appliances, plumbing fixtures, and electrical components. Experience with residential or light commercial properties is preferred.

•

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance installation. Ability to troubleshoot issues during installation and make repairs as needed.

•

Attention to Detail: Ability to follow technical diagrams, blueprints, and safety guidelines to ensure installations meet industry standards and local building codes.

•

Communication: Must be able to clearly communicate with project managers and clients about project timelines, issues, and solutions.

•

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and handle physical labor for extended periods.

•

Certifications: Relevant certifications in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems are a plus but not required.
