Founded in 1986, Glacier Sign and Lighting is Alaska's premier fully-custom sign manufacturer and installer. Our installers travel statewide anywhere there is a road, and if there isn't a road, we fly in. After more than 36 years in business, we've cultivated a reputation for quality signage delivered by a professional team, and we're proud of our partnership with organizations statewide such as hospitals, contractors, universities, property managers, all the way to neighborhood businesses. You can see our signs on almost any street corner.
We are seeking a full-time, Anchorage-based Installation Technician to join our growing team.
Under limited supervision, the Installation Technician will perform field tasks to complete sign projects, including but not limited to installation of illuminated channel letters, installation of freestanding signs, diagnosing and servicing existing signage, repairing as needed, and performing site surveys for access, color matching, and dimensions. Under direction from the Production Manager, Installation Technicians transport, install, and complete the quality custom-designed signage projects that our customers have come to expect from us. Depending on experience, the successful candidate will work under direct supervision of an experienced Installer, but once trained may work independently or with a helper.
