Inspector, Field Operations, Northwest - Hybrid

Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta

Employment Type: Full Time – Limited Term – Anticipated duration 18 months

Salary Range: SP2, Level 4, $75,600 - $94,500 per year. The final compensation for this position will be determined based on individual factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. This position may be eligible to receive a Northern Living allowance. Northern Living allowances are provided based on the location of the position and where an employee primarily works and resides.

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is currently recruiting for an Inspector to join our team in Field Operations, Northwest team, in the Regulatory Compliance (RC) branch. Field Inspectors at the AER are the eyes and ears of the organization in the field. We conduct proactive inspections in a multitude of disciplines, respond to incidents and complaints form stakeholders, provide industry education in the field, and support other functions of the branch and the enterprise with field-level intelligence.

Your primary responsibilities will be to conduct water, public lands and methane inspections, but will also include responding to spills, investigating incidents, and responding to public complaints to ensure compliance with AER rules and requirements.
