Who You Are:
An experienced solar installer with roof and electrical installation experience that can autonomously troubleshoot, diagnose, and inspect photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV & Energy Storage systems.
What You’ll Do:
•Perform detailed field inspections of completed solar PV and battery installations
•Document installation quality, safety, and NEC compliance using checklists and photo documentation
•Identify deficiencies or deviations from Atma’s standards or AHJ requirements
•Communicate punch list items clearly to subcontractors and internal teams
•Follow up on resolved issues, confirming corrections have been made to standard
•Coordinate with the scheduler to complete inspections in a timely manner
•Provide constructive feedback to install crews and field supervisors as needed
•Support post-install audits or re-inspections for failed AHJ signoffs
•Ensure inspections are logged properly on tracking system
Typical rooftop, ground-mounted & carport projects include but are not limited to
•Enphase microinverters and energy storage components
•Solaredge optimizers, inverters and energy storage components
•SMA inverters and energy storage components
•Kohler & Generac generators - stand alone & microgrid set ups
What You’ll Need:
•Ability to interpret plans and specifications
•Must be able to run conduit - EMT, IMC, RMC & LFMC
•Must demonstrate experience with Enphase installer toolkit app
Education and Experience:
•Min 2 yrs experience in residential solar service & repair
•Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrical License Required
•OSHA 10 certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
•Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
•Comfortable wearing harness and working on roof
•Comfortable using ladders and working with heights and on flat roofs
•Comfortable working in attics and crawl spaces to run conduit and wires
•Comfortable working outdoors for prolonged periods in varied weather conditions
Required Tools:
•Impact & Drill, with batteries and charger
•Flathead and Phillips Screwdriver
Required Documentation and Consents:
•Copy of valid Electrical License
•Copy of valid Driver’s License
•Consent for background check
•Consent for drug test prior to employment
