Steel processing business located on North side of Houston recruiting Inside Sales Representative. Seeking individual to work as part of company’s Inside Sales team who has interest in application of processed steel to heavy industry. Our company has been in business for 40+ years and offers the stability of a large company, but personal, small-company culture and work environment. The everyday operating standards of our business are integrity-based customer relationships, high service levels, unique value add capabilities, and quality product.
· Interprets Customer Prints, Specifications & Other Technical Requirements
· Obtains Quotes & Procures Outside Services for Jobs
· Interfaces with Production Operation & Outside Shops
· Ensures Jobs Executed to Promised Delivery Schedule
· Manages Existing Customer Accounts & Handles New Customer Inquiries
· Assumes Responsibility for Assigned Customers & Understands Their Needs in Detail
· Works with Outside Salesperson to Build long-term Customer Relationships
· Provides Regular Market Intelligence (New Prospects, Pricing Trends, Competitor Actions)
· 5+ years experience in steel fabrication sales, steel sales or plate processing sales Preferred
· Familiarity with Industrial / Steel-related Business is Beneficial
· Knowing or Interest in Learning Steel Fabrication / Welding Operations
· Skillset to Master Bill of Material Review Process
· Ability to Become Proficient Interpreting Specifications (Materials, Testing, Coating, etc.)
· Foundation to Learn Print-reading & Material Take-off Development
· Willingness to Work Routinely as Part of a Team
· Sufficient Computer Skills to Learn & Use our Business System
