ArcelorMittal North America is looking for a Manager IT Infrastructure,
a key role responsible for driving the standardization, centralization, and optimization of IT infrastructure services across all North and South American locations. This includes managing regional and global initiatives in cloud adoption, infrastructure architecture, cost optimization, and service delivery to support business needs across diverse manufacturing and corporate environments. Reporting to the CIO North America, this role also plays a vital part in representing North America’s business requirements on global ArcelorMittal infrastructure governance teams and steering committees.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the AIIOP initiative across North and South America to standardize and optimize IT infrastructure services for cost efficiency and alignment with business needs.
- Oversee and coordinate regional infrastructure teams and leaders to ensure synergies, support, and consistent service delivery across all sites.
AIIOP Cloud Service Manager - Cloud Services & Optimization
- Lead the AIIOP cloud service team, managing a distributed group of experts across the Americas to implement O365 and Azure services at scale and optimized cost.
- Drive regional deployment and alignment with global cloud strategies and architecture standards.
- Chair the Global Cloud Expert Committee and lead the Global Cloud Architecture team under the CIO Council.
- Participate in global negotiations and cost optimization efforts, particularly regarding Microsoft O365 licensing and infrastructure investments.
- Drive transparency and accountability via participation in global chargeback, reporting, and licensing expert committee initiatives.
- Member of the IT Strategic Review (ITSR) team for evaluating projects over $100K, ensuring compliance, technical integrity, and value (review of infrastructure, hardware, and cloud solutions).
- Represent North American BUs in global governance bodies, including: Global O365 Steering Committee; Global Azure Architecture and Governance Team; Global Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Negotiation Team; Change Advisory Boards and Licensing Committees.
- Manage IT requirements for AM Sales and Administration entity – ranging from office support to strategic initiatives, due diligence and leading mergers & acquisitions.
- Provide infrastructure oversight and support for R&D centers and smaller entities across the U.S. (e.g., East Chicago, AMI, AM Projects, Industeel) that do not have IT support.
- Lead a group of IT infrastructure managers across all of the North America’s locations to find synergies and help each other become successful.
- Lead review and approval of regional infrastructure-related spend and capital projects (for North America BUs).- 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including multi-site and international exposure.
- Demonstrated experience leading regional and global cloud and infrastructure initiatives (O365, Azure, etc.).
- Deep understanding of infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity principles, cloud governance, and service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Proven success in managing cross-functional teams and leading through influence across business units and geographies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, financial acumen, and strategic thinking skills.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent
- ITIL Foundation or Practitioner
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- VMware, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or other relevant technical certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field;
- Master’s preferred.
- Fluent in English - good communication for discussion, presentation, and meetings preparation.
- Any other language skill is a plus.
- Travel – Minimal travel required (less than 10% of the time).
