About the Position

Summary:

The purpose of the Industrial Security Guard is to provide safety, security, and protection of personnel, property, and assets at the site. The objective is to maintain a secure environment that minimizes the risk of theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other potential security breaches.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the safety and security of the premises

- Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols to check for any suspicious activities or unauthorized individuals

- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents and take appropriate action

- Maintain accurate records and reports of all security-related activities and incidents

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns

- Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises

- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies or emergency services when necessary

- Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

- Previous experience in security or related field is preferred

- Familiarity with CCTV systems and their operation is a plus

- Strong observational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations

- Intermediate computer skills for record keeping and communication purposes

Qualifications:

- Security Guard License is a must

- Class 5 Driver's License is a must

- First Aid, CPR is an asset

- Submit a Criminal Record Check

- Undergo drug and alcohol test

Working Conditions:

- 14 days on, 14 days off

- 12 hour shifts

- Up to 10kms of walking per shift

- Occasional work in cold weather

Location, Travel, & Accommodations

- The site is located just outside of Lynn Lake, MB

- We do not have any sites located in Winnipeg, MB.

- Private room & kitchenette is provided.

- Transportation is provided to travel to site.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
