Industrial Hygienist (Dallas, TX)

We are looking for an Industrial Hygienist who will be located in our headquarters office located in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities:

- Provide IH technical leadership and direction through development and implementation of corporate programs and procedures, tools, and database

- s.Provide direct hands-on support to manufacturing sites to assure protection of worker health and compliance with company policy and health regulation

- s.Complete specific projects, as needed, such as training site personnel in sampling techniques, assisting in updating and maintaining site exposure assessments, assisting in developing facility sampling schedules, conducting PPE assessments, compiling and analyzing IH monitoring data, generating IH monitoring data reports, selecting assisting in selecting appropriate respiratory protection equipment and PPE, and evaluating engineering and administrative control

- s.Manage new chemical approval process for all facilities using WERCS database and providing support to facility IH programs using Intelex database (IH Module

- y.Recommend, educate, and influence OxyChem management and facilities using state-of-the-art industrial hygiene knowledge on health risks, so that hazards can be identified, assessed, and appropriately managed to ensure minimization of exposures and reduction of risks to employees, the public, the environment, and company asset

- s.Serve as a subject matter expert on select health topics of importance to the compan

- y.Analyze proposed, new or revised regulations to determine impact on the company or individual manufacturing locations and develop compliance guidance as appropriate. Prepare comments on behalf of the company on pending regulations to ensure company position is provide

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Health/Hygiene, Occupational Safety/Health, Environmental Health Science and/or closely related discipl
