Job Summary: The Induction Division Manager is ultimately responsible for directing and providing a high standard of induction heat-treating services within their division. Furthermore, the Induction Division Manager is committed to carrying out these services in accordance to the customer and company’s requirements.
- Operates heat-treating equipment.
- Perform job set-ups as per instructions in QMS.
- Perform certifications for Induction job tickets.
- Meets or exceeds productivity and quality standards using all resources and support available.
- Ensures that all Spec orders are set up and run in accordance to the standard.
- Maintain inventory of all needed equipment, tools and materials needed for induction heat treating.
- Responsible for determining, directing, requesting resources, equipment, tools and materials, as needed, and coordinate with Maintenance ordering replacement parts for equipment repairs.
- Provides continual on the job training and positive support to all subordinates.
- In charge of setting up induction schedules and customer rush list.
- Responsible for assisting customers in meeting their heat-treating requirements, as well as addressing and correcting customer problems.
- Provides the customer with heat-treating knowledge and MTI capabilities, when requested.
- Ultimately responsible for the Induction team’s direction and success.
- Monitors all operations to ensure that the company goals, objectives and customer requirements are met.
- Accurately and promptly completes all paperwork associated with the position (corrective actions, production reports, quality reports, employee evaluations, etc.)
- Maintains confidentiality of all company policies, procedures and privileged information.
- Provides leadership, training, instruction, direction and assistance to staff and subordinates.
- Directs the division in a manner that promotes high morale, teamwork, pride, productivity and quality.
- Designated as the primary quality representative for the division.
- Ensures that job performance problems and conflicts are resolved fairly in accordance with the Company’s Employee Handbook and Company Policy.
- Keeps the Vice President apprised of performances of personnel.
- Designated as the primary liaison with all other divisions/departments for communicating, coordinating and monitoring any work flows and/or resolving problems that occur between them.
- Initiates actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, processes & systems.
- Coordinates and records all rework and repairs.
- Advises and/or notifies the Vice President of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the company, product assurance, facilities, and employee safety or customer satisfaction results.
- Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.
- Maintains a clean work environment.
- Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and provides an ongoing awareness and environment of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.
- Participates in company sponsored training and meetings as required.
Additional Responsibilities: Move parts with forklift. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
- Heat-treat experience required.
- Friendly and works well with others.

- Metallurgical experience preferred.
Working Conditions: Office and factory environment, may encounter dirt, dust, oil, processing chemicals and varying temperatures. Summer temperatures could be extremely hot, over 100 degrees. Winter temperatures are cool.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 5:30pm to 2pm or 6am-2:30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch required.
