The Import/Export Administration - Team Lead will act as a liaison with the Field Service International Logistics Project Engineer to minimize the lead time of the order and avoid rework in the future. The role will focus on international tooling shipments from the tool facility to the job site abroad.
How You’ll Make an Impact
•Managing and planning import process, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise to ensure it arrives at correct time.
•Overseeing the issue of import licenses and completion of monetary transactions associated with the import in a timely manner.
•Controlling all documentation related to the export process, ensuring necessary documentation is provided to customers to enable them to receive the products without delay.
•Monitoring the preparation and dispatch of customer export orders, and planning/directing the flow of air and surface traffic to the final destination.
•Ensuring compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations Specialization Match Note: Para-Professional incumbents issue/control import licenses, prepare export documentation, track/control international shipments, and ensure payment of duties/tariffs.
What You Bring
•High school diploma required/bachelor’s degree preferred.
•3+ years of experience in field or shop environment is required. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level. This is not a remote role: on-site 5 days working at the facility.
•Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
•Shown knowledge and experience of SAP-PD2 and TCTP systems as they relate to tooling and project controls. Proficient in Export and Customs Controls (ECC) and ILI.
•Certification and proficiency in Hazmat shipping methods, IATA air and DOT Ground preferred. Expertise with CTPAT program requirements preferred.
•Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
