Burrow Global is seeking an experienced and dynamic
I&E Engineering Department
Manager to lead our instrumentation and electrical engineering team in Deer Park, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the EPC industry, particularly within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.
About The Role
As the I&E Engineering Department Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of critical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a high-performance engineering environment, driving continuous improvement, and supporting our company's strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities•Lead and manage departmental resources across multiple projects, aligning staffing and skills with project demands.
•This position is a working manager position that will require the incumbent to contribute directly to the development of project deliverables.
•Develop accurate project estimates, schedules, and resource forecasts based on backlog and project forecasts.
•Act as the primary interface with High Value Centers for design and engineering services.
•Maintain a comprehensive skills matrix for personnel and manage software tools for design, engineering, and studies.
•Oversee contract deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
•Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Engineers, providing technical guidance and participating in client discussions.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and process enhancements.
•Lead a multidisciplinary team of discipline supervisors, setting communication and execution goals.
•Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate staff to maintain a highly skilled engineering team.
•Support proposal efforts and play an active role in winning new projects.
•Manage project schedules for instrumentation and electrical deliverables, ensuring timely completion.
•Review and approve technical calculations, specifications, and deliverables.
•Promote value engineering by reviewing data sheets, PFDs, and P&IDs, and evaluating emerging technologies.
•Coordinate with procurement to ensure smooth communication and review of vendor documents.
•Provide technical expertise during vendor meetings and assist in electrical studies and technology evaluations.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
•Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Instrumentation, Electrical Controls, Power distribution and Automation.
•Extensive EPC industry experience, with a focus on Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas is highly preferred.
•Active TWIC Card preferred
•Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
•Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
