POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. The role ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes; consistently completing work to meet customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic wiring and cabling, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
•Measure, cut and assemble cable trays and cable support systems
•Plan new or modified installations in compliance to Oneline’s, wiring drawings and schematics, knowledge of various electrical and distribution systems architectures and capabilities
•Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
•Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, motors, PLC’s or other components
•Possess basic understanding of both above grade and below grade conduit installations
•Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes
•Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
•Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and meggers to ensure compatibility and safety of system
•Obey and follow all safety rules and policies
•Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)
•Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
•High School diploma or equivalent education
•2+ years of electrical experience in an industrial setting
•Basic written and verbal skills
•Must be reliable and have good time management skills
•For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
•For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
