GasTech Engineering is seeking a Mid-Level ICE Designer to support detailed design and drafting for Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (ICE) projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in industrial environments and enjoys bridging engineering intent with field-ready design packages.

- Create and review ICE design packages: wiring diagrams, loop drawings, panel layouts, conduit schedules
- Interpret P&IDs and general arrangements to develop accurate deliverables
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure alignment between design and field execution
- Perform redlines, revisions, and maintain BOMs with version control
- Route conduit and cable per NEC/NFPA codes with practical installation awareness
- Support equipment/instrument specification, tagging, and standardization
- Maintain drawing libraries, templates, and design blocks
- Communicate design changes clearly across teams and vendors
- Participate in design reviews and resolve fabrication/installation issues
- Manage document control and drawing vaults per company procedures
- Contribute to ICE design standards and best practices
- Education/Experience: Associate’s degree or technical diploma in design/drafting; minimum 5 years of ICE design experience in industrial or energy sectors
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or CADWorx; EPLAN experience is a plus
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong grasp of instrumentation symbols, wiring conventions, control system layouts
- Familiarity with NEC/NFPA codes and industrial wiring practices
- Ability to produce panel layouts, termination diagrams, and I/O schematics
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication with field techs, engineers, and vendors
- Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and constructability
- Preferred: Experience in oil & gas or process plant design; ISO 9001 exposure
