Hydrovac Operator/ Vac

HYDROVAC/ VAC OPERATOR

T.A. Excavating Ltd. is a local Excavating & Utilities Placement company specializing in earthworks / underground utility installation of Gas, Electrical, Water and Fiber/Telecom - serving Alberta, for 40 years.

We are looking to hire individual(s) who will contribute to our team of dedicated personnel by bringing their experience and high-quality workmanship to every project.

POSITION: HYDROVAC OPERATOR

LOCATION: LETHBRIDGE

APPROX. START DATE: MAY 1

DUTIES

- Complete hydro excavation projects including utility line exposure, debris removal and slot trenching;

- Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner

- Understanding of Alb. One Call Locates documentation

- Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures

- Performs pre trip inspections and daily/ongoing job task hazard assessments

- Ensures cleanliness of equipment

- Supervise activities of Hydrovac Swampers, as required

- Ensures the safety of themselves as well as those around them

QUALIFICATIONS

- Current valid Class 1 or 3 license with Air Brakes - abstract required

- Experience operating Hydrovac Units/Vac Units

- Ability to work independently with good problem solving skills

ASSETS

- Safety Tickets (First Aid, Ground Disturbance, Hydrovac Training, etc)

- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and complete regular maintenance.
