Hydrovac Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating heavy equipment. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will play a crucial role in safely excavating and transporting materials at various construction sites. This position requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

- Operate hydrovac trucks to excavate soil and debris safely and efficiently.

- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safe operational conditions.

- Collaborate with crew members to complete excavation tasks while adhering to safety protocols.

- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

- Assist in the setup and breakdown of job sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

- Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors regarding project progress and challenges.

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and operational standards.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with hydrovac trucks or similar vehicles.

- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks.

- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.

- Experience with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.

- Knowledge of paving processes is advantageous but not required.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Hydrovac Operator.

- Ground Disturbance Ticket

- Confined Space Ticket

- First Aid Ticket

- H2S Ticket

- CSO Ticket

- Grounding and Bonding Ticket

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
