Hydrovac Operator

Safely and efficiently operate hydrovac equipment to perform excavation, daylighting, trenching, and cleanup tasks around sensitive underground infrastructure.

Prepare job sites by ensuring safe and compliant setup, such as following road safety rules, barricading work areas, and verifying utility locations.

Conduct pre-and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance of equipment. Report any issues or malfunctions promptly.

Accurately complete paperwork related to projects, including daily logs, safety reports, and work summaries.

Collaborate with the team, clients, and supervisors to ensure clear communication and compliance with all job requirements.

Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies regarding safety, environmental protection, and operational standards.

Minimum of 3 years of experience operating hydrovac equipment is preferred.

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.

Current member of, or willing to join, the IUOE.

Ability to travel and stay overnight as required for project locations.

Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to follow complex instructions and safety procedures.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
