Job Title: Hydrovac Operator
Pay: $25 - $35/hourly
Location: Mesa, AZ
Position Summary:
This role goes beyond typical CDL driving. You’ll be operating vacuum trucks to support utility excavation and storm system maintenance, including hydro excavation, catch basin cleaning, vault cleaning, and debris removal. You’ll be in the field daily, and working alongside the crew to complete physically demanding, critical work.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Operate vacuum trucks and hydro excavation equipment on underground utility projects
•
Assist with cleaning and maintenance of storm drains, sewer lines, manholes, and vaults
•
Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of the truck and equipment
•
Work on-site in trenches or confined spaces as needed
•
Maintain safe work practices and follow company safety policies at all times
•
Accurately complete required paperwork and job documentation
•
Collaborate with crew members and foremen to complete jobs efficiently
Requirements:
•
Valid CDL (Class A or B) with Tanker Endorsement
•
Experience operating a vacuum truck (hydro vac or similar)
•
Willingness to perform physically demanding work daily
•
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
•
Strong work ethic, reliability, and team attitude
•
Knowledge of underground utility work is a plus
•
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
