The Combo Vacuum Operators at Lynx Creek Oilfield are entrusted with adhering to all NSC regulations pertinent to their role. Operators are responsible for conducting daily pre-trips and assessments before initiating any task. They must strictly adhere to all Standard Work Procedures (SWP) and communicate with their supervisor if unable to do so.
Our Operators oversee a spectrum of service operations from various clients such as Tourmaline, Canlin, CNRL and Peyto along with many others in the area. The operations including spill clean-up, vessel cleaning, and transportation of bulk fluid loads mixed with solids in the Hinton, Jasper and Edson areas. They handle the loading and unloading of fluids at disposal sites, coordinating transportation while complying with all TDG regulations. Additionally, Operators provide guidance to Swampers when required, ensuring project tasks are efficiently executed through leadership and mentorship. We have a solid reputation in our area and strive to live up to that daily, right from first call to completion of the invoicing.
2 years class experience along with applicable safety tickets would be considered a strong asset.
- Participate in pre-job hazard assessments and inspections before commencing any task.
- Adhere to Lynx Creek Oilfield's Health and Safety Manual.
- Immediately report all incidents, accidents, near misses, or equipment damage.
- Submit all necessary paperwork to dispatch, administration, and safety department.
- Ensure compliance with federal hours of service and maintain complete logbooks when applicable for auditing purposes.
- Operate vacuum units and associated equipment safely and professionally.
- Securely load hoses, chemical pails, or other equipment.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to assisting Swampers.
- Fulfill other duties as required, understanding responsibilities may evolve with or without notice.
- Valid safety certifications including Standard First Aid, CSO,H2S, Ground Disturbance, and Confined Space/Entry Monitor. This training can be provided upon hiring if any certificates are expired or missing.
- Additional certifications such as Ground Disturbance, Gas Detection, and Oilfield Driver Awareness (ODA) considered advantageous.
- Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously.
This is a full-time hourly position with varying standard hours. On-call duties are necessary on a 24-hour basis, except for approved time off requested from a direct supervisor. Overtime is paid over 10 hours per day and 50 hours per week being above industry standard. There is also a monthly minimum salary to compensate for any slower periods.
