Job Description Candidates must have demonstrated hydrotest or pressure test experience and safety knowledge as outlined above. Resumes should clearly show relevant experience to be considered.
Job Summary: Responsible for directly contribute and support the hydrotest process. Will test fittings, pipes, and similar objects to detect and locate leaks.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate, observe and read pressure and temperature gauges and charts
- Read and understand Isometric Drawings and has the ability to identify issues with ISO and package structure
- Have an understanding of ASME codes
- Document temperature and pressure readings; report any irregular reading to management
- Inspect all unit components and report defective parts to management
- Maintain all gauges, charts and other related equipment used for testing
- Identify blanks/blinds
- Installs fittings on object to seal outlets and connects object to high pressure air or water line
- Understanding hydraulic
- Hydrostat Testing c/w water/Glycol
- Reinstatement of lines after testing
- Detailed reporting to clients
- Cold Cutting Pip
- Use of line isolation plug tools and weld test plug tools
- Operate common hand and power-driven tools and equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet jackets, and gantry cranes

- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, ability to work independently and unsupervised, thorough knowledge of OSHA Safety Regulations and how they pertain to the work to be performed
- Through knowledge of Control of Hazardous Energy Procedures, including Lock Out – Tag Out procedures
- Strength and endurance to perform the duties associated with this position including work outdoors in inclement weather, working knowledge of closed loop control systems including feedback indication and monitoring devices
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, civil/structural and electrical schematics
- Ability to work in elevated positions, small or confined spaces, work on and around water, work on and in the proximity to energized electrical components
- Work in hot or cold environments, previous experience working in manufacturing and/or fabrication, must have full understanding and knowledge of the stored energy used during hydro test
Physical Requirements and other items to communicate:
The ability to lift 50 pounds. Work in a high pace manufacturing environment. Work deals mostly with objects, equipment, and/or machines where the seeing is at arm’s reach. Depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are of some importance. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, push and pull equipment.
Ability to move heavy equipment and materials. Crouches, kneels, stoops, reaches, stands and turns over 75% of shift. Work in a high pace manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required to complete tasks.
