Your application will only be reviewed if you have at least 2 years of experience in water meter installation, plumbing, pipe fitting HVAC or irrigation.

- Travel is required on project completion.

Overview:

HST Utility is seeking skilled professionals to join our team. As a Water Meter Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the installation of 1.5" & 2" commercial water meters. This is a hands-on production role that requires technical skills & the ability to work in various environments.

Requirements:

- Must have experience installaing 1.5" & 2" meters.

- Must be proficient in the installation of 5/8" to 2" water meters.

- Must have a valid Driver's License & insured reliable vehicle to use in the course of your work.

- Must be willing & available to travel

- OSHA 30

- 1st Aid, CPR & AED

- Available for full time, some nights & weekends for commercial appointments.

- Must be reliable & professional

Responsibilities:

- Complete water meter installations & programming, including troubleshooting & diagnosing installation issues.

- Perform locating meters & schedule commercial appointments

- Utilize hand & power tools to complete assigned tasks

- Able to safely dig out the pit to access the meter & flanges.

- Conduct field service visits to client locations for meter installation, survey or repair

- Adhere to all safety protocols & guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

- Experience in water meter installation, plumbing, pipe fitting, HVAC or irrigation.

- Proficient in the installation of water meters 5/8" to 2" in size.

- Familiarity with shut off valves, water meter installation procedures & identifying preexisting issues to avoid.

- Must be able to dig out the pits.

- Proficient in using hand & power tools

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Excellent problem-solving skills & attention to detail

- Valid driver's license & auto insurance
