The Hydrocarbon Allocations Specialist will primarily be responsible for the allocations of natural gas hydrocarbons for multiple districts of CNX Resources. The individual must have solid problem solving skills and be able to effectively communicate within a very dynamic team-oriented environment. Additionally, the candidate must be highly organized, deadline-oriented and an ambitious individual in order to complete assignments and projects in a timely manner. The position will be held out of our Southwest, PA field office but may require some travel to other local offices.
Target Responsibilities:•Lead the Hydrocarbon Allocations (HCA) department and coordinate with multiple departments including: Production, Measurement, Accounting, Division Orders, Permitting, Legal, Midstream and Marketing.
•Set Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Time-based Goals for Measuring HCA Department’s performance.
•Evaluate HCA Team’s performance bi-annually.
•Develop, foster and reinforce strong interdepartmental relationships.
•Assist Internal Auditing department for all SOX related compliance and testing.
•Update and manage SOX controls and SOX narratives within AuditBoard software.
•Lead quarterly Production SOX Control reviews.
•Perform multiple Sox Controls monthly.
•Perform hydrocarbon allocations – Natural Gas, Condensate and NGL’s.
•Build and modify gas allocation networks inside of SAP/PRA and process them monthly.
•Be able to generate custom allocations networks that are housed outside of typical accounting software.
•Assist in testing upgrades to SAP/PRA systems
•Prepare production data to individual state and/or federal regulatory agencies as required.
•Coordinate with production/engineering departments to capture ever changing field conditions that affect allocation networks.
•Maintain and gather status changes, check for meter changes and build load files for volume and heating values.
•Develop procedures and process improvements to current allocation methodologies.
•Gain understanding of complex well/pipeline systems and the respective measurement.
•Understand SCADA and production databases such as Cygnet, WinCCU and FlowCal.
•Evaluate new software solutions and make recommendations to the team.
•Provide completed allocations to revenue accountants and third-party midstream groups.
•Ensure production data integrity through field balances and allocation systems.
•Review legal documents for measurement and allocations language.
•Lead Divesture data compilations
•Assist in legal data compilations.
Minimum Requirements:
•Accounting or Engineering degree highly preferred.
•Minimum of 1-3 years of industry experience required (5-8 years preferred)
•Must be a safety conscious individual.
•Must have thorough knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
•Flow-Cal or other enterprise software experience is preferred.
•Experience in Revenue Accounting software such as SAP/PRA is required.
•Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
•May require periodic travel. (10%)
