Foraco Canada is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hydraulic Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for an individual who is eager to grow their skills in hydraulic systems and gain hands-on experience working with experienced Mechanics. The successful candidate will support day-to-day operations in our shop, including hydraulic hose assembly, shop maintenance, and assisting mechanics with equipment servicing.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise, contribute to a collaborative team, and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of hydraulic systems.
- Measure, cut, and assemble hydraulic hoses according to specifications.
- Select proper fittings and ensure all assemblies meet quality standards.
- Maintain hose-making tools and equipment and monitor inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
- Organize tools, parts, and equipment for efficient workflow.
- Operate a forklift (training available if required).
- Support mechanics with basic tasks, including equipment tear-downs and reassemblies.
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and standing for extended periods.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn.
- Shop-based role with regular exposure to machinery, tools, and hydraulic systems.
- Proper PPE is required at all times.
