Hydraulic Technician

(Location: Calgary, AB) Aaron machine shop has an immediate opening for a full-time Hydraulic Technician specializing in Hydraulic cylinders.

What type of work does Aaron Machine Shop do? We do not focus on one industry or product. Our shop has a great variety of work from different industries, using different materials, for different components designs. Aaron machine shop is a one stop shop including manual lathes, CNC , water jet and Laser, full welding shop and millwright services.We are a true job shop which provides diversity to the work you will be doing.

What kind of work can you expect? The work we receive involves good variety, unique repair and service work and often involves thoughtful approaches to problem solving and re-engineering of existing components and assemblies, particularly among our journeymen/women.

Responsibilities

- Installs, assembles, or repairs any hydraulic cylinder ,motors, drives or pumps. Assists in hosing and testing of these components.

- Assembles components to quality required and acceptable performance.

- Troubleshoots hydraulic issues on new or used equipment and assists Field Service Millwrights.

- Performs other tasks related to his/her classification.

Qualifications:

- Strong track record building, servicing, troubleshooting complex mobile hydraulic equipment.

- Personal tools would be an asset.

- Experience an asset.

- Mechanical background an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Education:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

- Hydraulic: 5 years (preferred)

Language:

Licence/Certification:

- journeyman certification (preferred)
