Job Overview:
Swan Heating, Plumbing, and Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Residential HVAC Service Technician who is passionate about helping homeowners achieve optimal indoor comfort and air quality. In this role, you'll do more than just service and repair HVAC systems—you'll be a trusted advisor, evaluating total home indoor air quality and offering customized solutions to improve comfort, efficiency, and health.
Key Responsibilities:
•Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handlers.
•Conduct comprehensive whole-home indoor air quality (IAQ) evaluations to identify issues related to airflow, humidity, filtration, and ventilation.
•Educate homeowners on HVAC system functionality and IAQ concerns, presenting customized solutions based on their needs and lifestyle.
•Recommend and sell HVAC equipment and IAQ products, including air purifiers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, duct modifications, and system replacements.
•Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication, empathy, and technical expertise.
•Accurately document service findings, IAQ assessments, and sales in service software.
•Stay current with new HVAC technologies, code compliance, and IAQ solutions.
•Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
•2+ years of HVAC service experience (residential preferred).
•Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
•Knowledge of IAQ principles and products is a plus (training provided if needed).
•Proven ability to communicate and sell solutions effectively to homeowners.
•EPA 608 Certification required.
•NATE certification a plus.
•Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
