Key Responsibilities
•Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
•Support onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees
•Correspondence with Service Canada i.e.: ROE submissions and CRA i.e.: Garnishments
•Maintain employee records and HR databases
•Administer employee benefits and pension plan and respond to related inquiries
•Support the Operations department in facilitating seamless onboarding experiences for new hires
•Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors (e.g. ADP)
•Manage year-end processes including T4 preparation, WCB reporting, and other statutory tax and information filings
•Review and process fuel card expense reports, typically handling 10 to 25 submissions at a time for accuracy and compliance
Qualifications
•Minimum 2 years of experience in HR and Payroll functions
•Experience using ADP is preferred
•Completion of a Payroll or HR certification is an asset
•Excellent organizational, communication and time-management skills
•Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
•Familiarity with employment standards and payroll regulations in Alberta
•A keen analytical mindset and the ability to effectively utilize reporting tools on a daily basis are essential for success in this role
•Candidates with oilfield experience—particularly in turnaround environments—will be given priority consideration
