The HR Generalist is a multi-faceted role that requires use of discretion and judgement for performing day to day functions, including positive employee relations, benefits, recruitment, processing payroll and ensuring company policies and procedures are updated and aligned with Company goals and objectives.
Support the EA positive employee relations strategy to maintain a union-free status.
Process payroll, timekeeping administration, compiling payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.
Maintain HRIS, employee/personnel files and all additional documentation required to comply with regulations - Federal, State and Local.
Act as the Employee Benefits Administrator for local benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K and other benefits as part of the Total Reward Package.
Manage the employee lifecycle, including, but not limited to hiring, terminations, personnel changes, updates and staying abreast of system updates and its use to continuously improve the employee experience.
Assist HR team in planning events, functions and employee related parties/celebrations and or programs – such as random drug testing days, employee wellness program, picnics, holidays etc.
Prepare and submit required or requested information for compliance audits.
Will perform other HR or Company administrative duties as required.
Will abide by all plant safety and quality regulations, work rules and policies.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant HR Generalist or HR Administrative experience.
At least 3 years’ experience in processing payroll using systems such as ADP, UKG, UltiPro, Paycom or other similar systems.
At least 3 years’ experience using HRIS for full employment life cycle and all system administration duties related to the employee experience.
Will possess higher than average system/computer and Microsoft software knowledge and use.
At least 3 years’ experience administering Health/Medical benefits for small to medium size company.
Must have solid interpersonal skills, be able to problem-solve and analyze data and possess strong organizational skills.
Must maintain confidentiality at the highest level and demonstrate high ethical standards and a strong work ethic.
