Position Summary
As an HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on resource to leaders and employees in a dynamic department that includes both office-based professionals and field-based construction and safety personnel. You’ll deliver HR solutions that drive engagement, performance, compliance, and talent development, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and our mission to power a cleaner tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities
•Partner with department leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support operational goals for both office and field teams.
•Provide day-to-day HR support across all functional areas including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
•Serve as a key liaison for field employees, ensuring HR policies, training, and communications are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to their unique work environments.
•Support employee development initiatives, succession planning, and leadership coaching tailored to different employee groups.
•Collaborate with Safety and Operations teams to reinforce safety culture and ensure HR practices align with site-specific compliance and regulatory standards.
•Lead or support investigations and resolve employee relations issues with fairness, consistency, and in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
•Use data and metrics to identify trends, support decision-making, and recommend process improvements.
•Support HR compliance efforts, including documentation, audits, and required reporting.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) a plus.
•5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a business partner or generalist role.
•Experience supporting both office and field/construction workforces preferred.
•Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and workforce compliance requirements.
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
•Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
•Willingness to travel occasionally to field sites as needed.
