Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and construction site experience. This role involves operating various types of machinery safely and efficiently to support construction projects. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is maintained and operated in compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, backhoes, and loaders

- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery to prevent accidents and injuries.

- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to complete tasks efficiently.

- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the equipment.

Experience

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential.

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery.

- Experience with commercial driving is preferred; valid driver's license required.

- Previous experience operating Caterpillar machinery or farm machinery is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
