Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and will play a crucial role in metal recycling facility. This position requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

Duties

- Operate heavy equipment such as Mini-ex, wheel loader, scrap material handlers, forklift and skidsteer, .

- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

- Collaborate with team members to execute daily plans effectively and efficiently.

- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while operating machinery on-site.

- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any issues or malfunctions promptly to management.

Experience

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation. Applicant will be asked to complete basic maneuvers in a mini ex during the interview process.

- Knowledge of basic metals is a plus.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
