Full Time

Night Shift 8 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Starting pay for this position will be set at $34/hr. This includes a $30/hr. base pay + a $4/hr. for shift differential. Overall pay will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skill set.

Rogers Group Inc. is seeking an experienced individual to fill a position as a HEAVY-DUTY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC for our site in Shepherdsville, KY. Bullitt County Stone is an underground mine site.

This role requires previous experience as a mechanic working on heavy equipment. The role will be responsible for performing repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of mining and quarry equipment and fixed plant equipment. The applicant must have a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brake systems, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating/cooling and electrical systems, as well as other systems generally encountered in the industry.


QUALIFICATIONS

Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Minimum of two years of experience working on heavy equipment.
Perform heavy or major maintenance repairs as needed.
Perform routine scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks.
Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed.
Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts.
Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
Ability to operate mobile equipment.
Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
Weekend work/overtime may be required.
Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist, and lift 70lbs.
Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet.
Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
