Responsible for performing routine health physics tasks and special radiological surveillance and control, radiological surveys, dose assessment, instrument calibration, records and report filing. Will initially work under the guidance of a fully qualified Health Physics Technician. Once full qualifications are obtained, will work independently on assigned tasks.
Responsible for assessment of airborne and/or surface contamination and radiation levels, and establishing radiological controls for station activities.
Typical duties of job include performing routine and special health physics tasks such as plant radiological surveillance and control, radiological surveys, dose assessment, instrument calibration, radiological records and report filing.
Assist in training of technicians/others, and participate in writing, reviewing, and revising of health physics procedures as directed.
Function as a plant emergency plan team member at 90% and above, and perform other tasks as required.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least have a minimum of two years of working experience in health physics.

This is a bargaining unit position and the hourly pay rate is:
$59.52
