Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking groundman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks

- Prepare construction sites by cleaning and clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

- Load and unload materials and equipment as needed.

- Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to team efforts to meet project deadlines.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of the project.

- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.

- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.

- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

- Must be able to follow safety protocols at all times.

- Possession of relevant trade certifications considered a strong asset.
