Job Summary

A Groundman/Operator is an employee assigned to act as a lineman's helper, whose work is confined to ground work and is knowledgeable in operating all equipment necessary.

Job Responsibilities

Assists line crew in all phases of electrical work. Must operate all trucks and equipment both automatic and stick shift. Exercise proper operational care for trucks and tools. Assist on outage calls & perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

May be required to work weekends and be subject to after-hour call outs.

Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.

Must have a High School diploma or the equivalent.

Must have an AZ CDL or the ability to obtain one within 30 days.

Must have good communication skills.

Must work well with others in a team environment.

Must be self-motivated.

Must have the ability to lift heavy objects.

Must be mechanically inclined.

Must be very safety conscious and willing to follow all safety rules.

Must have the ability to recognize the obligation of continuous service to the public.

Hourly rate: $22.19
