Ground Hand/Lube Tech

TriCounty Materials and Services is a Sand and Gravel operation in North Texas. With locations in Sanger and Gainesville. We are currently looking to add a Ground Hand/ to our Gainesville-Bearhead Quarry Team. The duties of this position will vary on a daily basis. This job is very hard work and will require a lot of physical exertion; including mowing, weed eating, groundwork around the plants and property clean up. If you enjoy working outdoors and aren't afraid to get dirty, this is the position for you.

Job Details:

- The primary purpose of this position will be to assist the heavy equipment operators with keeping the equipment greased, fluid levels full and equipment in good working order. Along with staying on top of cleaning out underneath all conveyor belts and walkways at the plants.

- Ground Hands will be responsible for property clean up; mowing, weed eating, disposal of trash. etc.

- Ground Hands will maintain the service truck and keep it in good working order; keep up with tools and keep them clean, make sure all oil, coolant and grease tanks stay full.

- Ground Hands will be trained to operate an Articulated Haul Truck to help during stripping operations and a skid steer to use for plant clean-up.

- Candidates must:

- Have basic mechanical skills, know how to use hand tools and power tools.

- Be familiar with heavy equipment.

- Be very observant and able to receive and follow instruction from supervisors well.

- Have the ability to operate a tractor, lawn mowers, weed eaters and other types of equipment.

Physical Requirements:

- - Have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controls.

- Have good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet.

- Able to climb on and off of equipment to operate and service.

- Able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around mobile equipment.

- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust and noisy conditions.

- Able to work at various heights.
