SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing a broad range of high-quality designed deliverables to meet firm and client needs. The Graphic Designer will manage design projects, ensuring products reflect the firm's commitment to quality, professionalism, and objectivity. Additionally, the Graphic Designer contributes to the development and organization of the firm's brand standards and style guide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES* Creates a range of high-quality and thoughtfully designed deliverables, including final reports, fact sheets, marketing and promotional collateral and data visualizations across print and digital formats
•Ensures Microsoft Word-based deliverables are formatted according to client or firm guidelines while meeting basic accessibility requirements
•Collaborates with staff to provide design solutions that are responsive to client needs, appropriate for intended audiences and offers strategies for improving the quality of final deliverables
•Adheres to and champions PSC’s quality assurance processes; owns the firm's Word document template library and manages regular reviews and updates
•Communicates effectively with staff, clients, vendors, and external stakeholders regarding design concepts and direction; engages with team members to understand content ensuring the design and layout reflect and enhance information for intended audiences
•Indexes and maintains graphic and other visual assets for the firm including staff headshots, project and promotional image libraries, logo files, and media drive organization
•Translates data into visual assets such as charts, graphs and maps that make it easier to understand and analyze trends and patterns
•Contributes to cultivating new business by creating designs for key sales proposals in collaboration with staff
•Stays current on techniques, software, and pre- and postproduction best practices to create inspiring, engaging design
•Delivers a minimum of 730 hours of client services annually

QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of relevant work experience
•Proficient in design software (e.g. InDesign) and experience with image editing software (e.g. Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator)
•Proficient with Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on WORD
•Demonstrated experience performing comparable duties
•Knowledge of and interest in public policy
COMPENSATION* Salary range: $54,592 - $71,652 commensurate with education and experience
